Algerian Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the mobile game Neon Shape War: Idle Synthwave (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Data stored on your device

The App stores the following locally in your device’s app storage:

• Game progress — saved runs, wave, score, upgrades, and related gameplay state if you use Save & Quit or auto-save.
• Settings — sound, music volume, vibration, visual quality, and similar preferences.
• Local scores — a small history of your best runs on this device.
• Leaderboard display name — the nickname you last entered for score submission (stored locally for convenience).

This data is not sent to us automatically. It may be included in Android device backups if you have backup enabled for the App on your device or Google account.

1.2 Global leaderboard (Ranked mode only)

If you play in Ranked mode and choose to submit a score after game over, we send the following to our database hosted on Supabase:

• Display name you enter (2–16 characters; letters, numbers, spaces, underscore, hyphen)
• Score, wave reached, and run duration
• Timestamp of submission

Endless mode does not offer global leaderboard submission. Submission is voluntary and only happens when you tap submit after entering a name.

1.3 Advertising (optional rewarded videos)

The App uses Meta Audience Network to show optional rewarded video ads (for example, temporary speed or cash boosts). Ads load only when you choose to watch them. Meta may collect device and advertising-related information, which can include:

• Advertising ID (where available and permitted on your device)
• Device type, operating system version, and general usage signals related to ad delivery
• IP address and network-related information

Meta’s practices are described in the Meta Privacy Policy and Meta Ads and Data. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (e.g. “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).

1.4 What we do not collect

• Email address, phone number, or postal address (unless you contact us directly)
• Precise location or GPS data
• Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
• Payment information (the App is free; we do not process purchases inside the game)

2. How we use information

• Provide gameplay, save/resume, settings, and leaderboard features
• Display global Ranked leaderboard rankings
• Deliver and measure optional rewarded advertisements
• Maintain security and prevent abuse of leaderboard submissions
• Improve stability and fix bugs

3. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where applicable, we rely on:

• Contract / legitimate interest — to operate the App and leaderboard you use
• Consent — when you submit a leaderboard score or choose to watch a rewarded ad
• Legitimate interest — for basic analytics and fraud prevention related to ads and leaderboard integrity

4. Sharing with third parties

We share information only as follows:

• Supabase — stores global leaderboard entries you submit (Supabase Privacy Policy)
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — rewarded ad delivery and measurement (Meta Privacy Policy)
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Permissions

The App may request or use these Android permissions:

• Internet — leaderboard and ads
• Network state — check connectivity before online features
• Vibrate — optional haptic feedback (can be disabled in settings)
• Advertising ID — included via the ad SDK for ad delivery (subject to your device settings)

6. Data retention

• On-device data — kept until you clear app data, uninstall the App, or delete saves in-game.
• Leaderboard entries — kept while displayed on the global leaderboard until removed by us for moderation, maintenance, or policy enforcement.
• Ad-related data — retained according to Meta’s policies.

7. Your choices and rights

• Leaderboard — do not submit a score, or play Endless mode, to avoid sending data online.
• Delete local data — clear the App’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the App.
• Leaderboard removal — contact us to request removal of a submitted leaderboard entry (include the display name and approximate date).
• Ads — you are never required to watch ads to play; use device ad personalization settings to limit tracking where available.

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Contact us using the email below to exercise these rights.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the leaderboard, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Supabase and Meta may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. They use appropriate safeguards as described in their respective privacy policies.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect leaderboard data in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
